ChangelogWhat changed in Epoch, Mapdesk and Caster

26.10.2

Drop a plan on the map, and new addresses

Drag a PDF or an image onto the map to start georeferencing it. Epoch is now at epoch.site, and the Caster console is at corrections.app. The old addresses keep working.

  • Map · Drop a PDF or an image on the map to georeference it. The file stays on your computer until you save.
  • Epoch · The web app is now at epoch.site. The epoch.stiple.ca address keeps working.
  • Caster · The console is now at corrections.app, and receivers connect to corrections.live on port 2101. The ntrip.stiple.ca address keeps working.
  • Caster · The console updates by itself as bases and rovers report in, with no refresh.
  • Caster · A rover's whole path is drawn on the map, in the same five fix colours as Mapdesk.
  • Map · Fixed scanned PDFs showing a blank page when georeferencing.
26.10.1

Uploads keep going on a bad connection

An upload no longer fails because of one dropped piece or a slow connection. Each piece is sent again by itself, the upload waits while you are offline, and on a weak connection it sends fewer pieces at once so they get through.

26.10

Draw and edit on the map

You can now draw points, polylines and polygons on the map, edit them by dragging, and undo or redo each step. Layers and their features sit in one tree, and exports show a live preview of the file.

26.09.4

Import LandXML surfaces onto the map

You can now add a LandXML file to the map by dragging it in or adding it from Files. Surfaces, boundaries, breaklines, points and alignments are drawn, with an elevation colour ramp and a height legend.

26.09.3

Projects with many point clouds open in 3D

Projects with more than 200 point clouds now open in the 3D viewer; before, they failed to load. IFC models also load again instead of staying on "Loading model".

26.09.2

Expired files in trash are now deleted

Files left in trash past their expiry are now permanently deleted. The clean-up had been failing without notice, so nothing was ever removed.

26.09.1

Map and 3D viewer now open inside Epoch

The map and the 3D viewer are now part of Epoch instead of separate sites, so a project opens in either without leaving the app. Moving between pages is faster after the first load.

26.09

Configure your rover from the Mapdesk app

You can now set up a receiver from the phone. Choose Rover or Base and change its settings from a list for each mode.

26.08.3

Use the Mapdesk app without a rover

You can now capture points, follow your position and stake out on phone GPS alone. Nothing is blocked without a rover, and accuracy notices tell you what the phone's position can and cannot do.

26.08.2

See teammates live on the map

You can now see who is on a project in real time. Rovers in the field and people viewing from the office each appear on the map in their own colour, with a list of who is present.
